MusicToolLab is a growing collection of fast, free, musician-friendly tools for music theory, practice, and songwriting. The goal is simple: give real musicians practical tools that load quickly, stay out of the way, and help you make better music.

• BPM Finder – Upload audio and detect tempo in your browser.
• Chord Finder – Select notes and identify the chord (major, minor, 7th, sus, dim, aug, and more).
• Chord Transposer – Transpose guitar and piano chords to any key instantly.
• Chord Progression Generator – Build progressions in any key using Roman numerals and Nashville numbers.
• Capo Finder – Find the right capo fret and chord shapes to play in any key.
• Circle of Fifths – Interactive circle of fifths with diatonic chords for each key.
• Roman Numeral Converter – Convert chord progressions into Roman numerals.
• Key Finder – Upload audio and estimate the key (major/minor) locally in your browser.

• Song Idea Generator – Create fresh song concepts with mood, genre, title ideas, BPM, key, chord suggestions, and hook angles.
• Free AI Lyrics Generator – Generate verses, choruses, and bridges for country, rock, pop, hip-hop and more. Built to give you a strong draft that you can then edit into your own voice.
• AI Tools Overview – A simple overview page that explains how the AI tools fit together and how to use them alongside the songwriting guides.

How the Tools Work

Most tools run directly in your browser with lightweight JavaScript. For analysis tools that process audio (like BPM Finder and Key Finder), the goal is to keep everything as fast and clear as possible so you can stay focused on making music.

The site is intentionally minimal: no forced sign-up wall just to tap BPM or transpose chords, and pages are designed to load quickly even on slower connections.
