How this Tap BPM tool works

Each tap records the time between beats. This tool calculates the average interval between your taps, then converts that interval into BPM. It also estimates “stability” to help you know whether your taps are consistent.

FAQ

What is BPM?

BPM stands for beats per minute. It’s a common way to measure the tempo of a song or metronome.

Why does the BPM jump around at first?

With only a few taps, a tiny timing difference can change the calculation a lot. Tap 8–12 times for a stable reading.

Can I use my keyboard?

Yes — press the Spacebar to tap. You can also tap on the pad with mouse or touch.
